Electrical Engineering from IIT Kanpur.
Consistent hard work and a focused approach were the key elements of my journey. I started my preparation with a clear understanding of the UPSC syllabus and analyzed previous years question papers to grasp the examination's demands.
General Studies: I relied heavily on NCERTs for foundational concepts. For advanced topics, I stick to standard textbooks like Laxmikanth for Polity and Spectrum for Modern History.
Current Affairs: Daily newspaper reading (The Hindu) and one monthly magazine were sufficient for me. I made concise notes on current events relevant to the syllabus.
I believe that answer writing is an art that needs daily practice. I started writing answers from the very beginning. Focusing on structure, presentation, and including diagrams helped me immensely in scoring high in the Mains.
Stay consistent and don't lose hope during the low phases. Believe in your strategy and revise your materials multiple times rather than reading new books in the final stages.
